When Scooby and the gang get trapped in a video game created for the gang, they must fight against the 'Phantom Virus.' To escape the game they must go level by level and defeat the game once and for all.
Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase is a moderately entertaining entry in the DTV animated lineup. The video game premise offers a fun structural hook, sending the gang through themed levels and even bringing back classic monsters, which adds some novelty for franchise fans. However, the plot is fairly thin and formulaic even by Scooby-Doo standards, with the mystery element largely sidelined in favor of level-by-level adventure. The voice acting is serviceable and consistent with the franchise. The animation is standard direct-to-video quality without particularly memorable cinematography or visual flair. The ending resolves predictably without much surprise or emotional payoff.
