It's all extreme sports and a life of freedom as Max sets off for college -- but Goofy misses Max so much he loses his job and goes to finish college alongside Max and his friends. But as Goofy tries to get closer to Max, both must go to the extreme to learn how to live their own lives together.
An Extremely Goofy Movie is a direct-to-video sequel that largely recycles the father-son dynamic from A Goofy Movie without adding much new. The plot is formulaic — mismatched parent at college, competition stakes, reconciliation — hitting every expected beat. Animation is serviceable TV-quality with little visual distinction. Voice performances are competent but unremarkable given the reduced budget. The college/X-Games setting gives it a mild late-90s flavor but it's ultimately a by-the-numbers follow-up. The ending resolves predictably. Solid enough for its target audience but offers little that distinguishes it from standard DTV Disney fare.
