Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo, and Rabbit are preparing a suitable winter home for Eeyore, the perennially dejected donkey, but Tigger's continual bouncing interrupts their efforts. Rabbit suggests that Tigger go find others of his kind to bounce with, but Tigger thinks "the most wonderful thing about tiggers is" he's "the only one!" Just in case though, the joyously jouncy feline sets out to see if he can find relatives.
The Tigger Movie is a pleasant but minor entry in the Pooh franchise. The plot is thin and predictable — Tigger searches for family, learns family is all around him — a well-worn lesson executed without much depth. The voice acting carries warmth and charm consistent with the beloved characters. Cinematically it's a modest direct-to-video-quality theatrical release, lacking the lush artistry of Disney's better animated features. It offers little novelty, being a straightforward spinoff relying on established IP with no distinctive visual or narrative voice. The ending is sentimental and emotionally adequate, wrapping things up in a cozy if formulaic bow.
