The Quartile Take

Love Is in the Air is a lightweight French romantic comedy with a charming but extremely thin premise — two exes trapped on a transatlantic flight. The plot is predictable and confined, offering little surprise in its will-they-won't-they structure. The acting is serviceable and carries the film's modest ambitions adequately. Cinematography is functional at best, largely constrained to airplane cabin settings with little visual imagination. The film brings nothing particularly fresh to the rom-com genre, recycling familiar beats. The ending offers mild emotional satisfaction consistent with genre expectations but nothing memorable.
