Green Lantern: First Flight is a competent DC animated feature that moves at a brisk pace, skipping the origin story setup to focus on Hal Jordan's integration into the Corps. The plot is serviceable but formulaic — a rookie cop uncovering corruption among his mentors is well-worn territory. Voice acting is solid across the board with Victor Garber lending weight to Sinestro. The animation is polished for its budget but not visually distinctive. As an adaptation it hews closely to familiar superhero beats without reimagining them, and the ending delivers adequate but unsurprising resolution to its central conflict.
