After winning the lottery, a convict must chase down the warden who has his winning ticket.
Dead Weight is a low-budget comedy with a fairly generic premise — a convict chasing his stolen lottery ticket offers minimal originality. The plot is straightforward and predictable, the acting unremarkable, and the cinematography functional at best. There is little to distinguish it from countless other low-budget comedies of its era, resulting in an across-the-board below-average assessment consistent with its modest reputation.
