Entourage (2015)

Quartile rating: 6/10 · 1 rating

Movie star Vincent Chase, together with his boys, Eric, Turtle and Johnny, are back…and back in business with super agent-turned-studio head Ari Gold. Some of their ambitions have changed, but the bond between them remains strong as they navigate the capricious and often cutthroat world of Hollywood.

The Quartile Take

Entourage the movie is essentially an extended TV episode rather than a cinematic event. The plot is thin and episodic — Vince directs his own movie, Ari navigates studio politics, and the boys chase women and parties — offering little narrative tension or growth. The ensemble cast slips back into their roles comfortably, with Jeremy Piven again the standout as Ari Gold, but the performances rarely transcend the TV-show energy. Cinematography is functional at best; it looks polished but not particularly cinematic for a theatrical release. Novelty is low — it's a by-the-numbers extension of the series formula with cameos and excess, delivering exactly what fans expect and nothing more. The ending wraps things up neatly but without any real emotional payoff or surprise, consistent with the shallow wish-fulfillment tone throughout.
