A fairly standard entry in the Scooby-Doo direct-to-video lineup, Alien Invaders follows the familiar mystery formula with a sci-fi twist that feels somewhat predictable. The animation is serviceable but unremarkable for its era, and the plot hits the usual beats — spooky menace, red herrings, unmasking — without much surprise. Voice acting is competent and charming in the tradition of the franchise. The alien romance subplot adds a slight novelty twist but doesn't elevate the material significantly. The ending delivers the expected resolution satisfyingly enough for its target audience, but offers little that distinguishes it from other entries in the series.
