A freak weather system turns its deadly fury on New York City, unleashing a Sharknado on the population and its most cherished, iconic sites - and only Fin and April can save the Big Apple.
Sharknado 2 is a deliberately campy, self-aware creature feature sequel that doubles down on absurdist chaos. The plot is essentially nonexistent beyond 'sharks fall from the sky again, this time in New York,' offering no narrative sophistication. Acting is broadly poor even by intentional B-movie standards. Cinematography is functional TV-movie level at best. The novelty is diminished compared to the original Sharknado, which at least had the shock of its ridiculous premise — this is a rehash that leans heavily on celebrity cameos and NYC landmarks for its hooks. The ending delivers the expected over-the-top resolution but lacks even the surprise factor of the first film.
