During a post-Christmas play date, the gang find themselves in uncharted territory when the coolest set of action figures ever turn out to be dangerously delusional. It's all up to Trixie, the triceratops, if the gang hopes to return to Bonnie's room in this Toy Story That Time Forgot.
A competent but slight TV special that doesn't add much new to the Toy Story universe. The premise of delusional action figures who believe they're real is a thin riff on Buzz's own arc from the original film, making it feel derivative. Trixie gets a nice character moment as the lead, and the voice acting is reliably warm, but the short runtime and holiday-special format limit narrative depth. Visually polished as expected from Pixar but nothing cinematographically distinctive. The ending wraps up neatly without much resonance. A fun diversion for fans but not essential viewing.
