Security guard Paul Blart is headed to Las Vegas to attend a Security Guard Expo with his teenage daughter Maya before she departs for college. While at the convention, he inadvertently discovers a heist - and it's up to Blart to apprehend the criminals.
Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 is a largely uninspired sequel that relocates the premise to Las Vegas without adding meaningful creativity. The plot is a recycled retread of the original's heist-foiling formula with little freshness. Acting is serviceable but unremarkable, with Kevin James doing broad physical comedy that rarely lands. Cinematography is competent but purely functional, as expected for a mid-budget comedy. Novelty is very low — this is a formulaic sequel that offers nothing distinctive in conception or execution. The ending resolves predictably with no real surprise or emotional payoff.
