An eight-year-old boy is willing to do whatever it takes to end World War II so he can bring his father home. The story reveals the indescribable love a father has for his little boy and the love a son has for his father.
Little Boy is a faith-based family drama with a warm, sentimental core centered on the bond between a father and son set against WWII. The plot is earnest but somewhat predictable, following familiar faith-and-perseverance beats without much surprise. The acting is competent with a charming lead performance from Jakob Salvati, but the supporting cast is uneven. Cinematography is pleasant and period-appropriate without being visually distinctive. The film doesn't bring much novelty — its blend of wartime nostalgia and spiritual themes treads well-worn ground in the faith-based genre. The ending is emotionally satisfying but telegraphed well in advance.
