A direct-to-video sequel to the 1997 live-action comedy that replaces nearly the entire original cast and recycles the same fish-out-of-water jungle humor with virtually no new ideas. The plot is a thin retread of the original's civilized-world-vs-jungle conflict, the acting is noticeably weaker with budget replacements, the production values are cheap and visually unimpressive, and the film offers nothing distinctive or original in concept or execution. A formulaic, low-effort cash-in sequel that earns low marks across the board.
