A Hard Day is a tightly wound Korean thriller that excels in its plot mechanics — the escalating, almost Hitchcockian chain of bad decisions and worse consequences keeps the tension coiled throughout. The premise of hiding a body in a coffin is darkly inventive and the film executes its cat-and-mouse structure with relentless momentum. The ending delivers a satisfying and suitably dark payoff that resolves the moral reckoning with genuine impact. Acting is competent and committed but not exceptional beyond the leads.
