One peaceful day on Earth, two remnants of Frieza's army named Sorbet and Tagoma arrive searching for the Dragon Balls with the aim of reviving Frieza. They succeed, and Frieza subsequently seeks revenge on the Saiyans.
Resurrection 'F' is a straightforward fan-service sequel that revives the franchise's most iconic villain with minimal narrative ambition. The plot is thin and largely predictable — Frieza returns, trains briefly, and clashes with the Z-fighters in a prolonged battle sequence. The voice acting (both Japanese and English dubs) is solid and carried by seasoned veterans who know these characters deeply. Cinematography is serviceable with some vibrant battle choreography and the introduction of Frieza's Golden form adding visual flair, though it lacks the bold stylistic choices of the concurrent Battle of Gods. Novelty is low — the film largely retreads familiar Dragon Ball Z territory with a revenge arc built around an already-defeated villain, offering little conceptually new beyond the power escalation. The ending delivers expected spectacle with Goku's Super Saiyan Blue debut but undercuts tension with a deus ex machina reset that frustrates more than it satisfies.
