Expelled is a formulaic teen comedy that follows a well-worn premise of a prankster hiding consequences from parents, offering little that distinguishes it from countless similar films. The plot is predictable and relies on recycled tropes, the acting is adequate but unremarkable from its young cast, cinematography is flat and TV-movie quality, novelty is essentially absent given how derivative the concept and execution are, and the ending resolves predictably with no real surprises. A thoroughly average entry in the genre with nothing particularly memorable in any category.
