Damian Wayne is having a hard time coping with his father's "no killing" rule. Meanwhile, Gotham is going through hell with threats such as the insane Dollmaker, and the secretive Court of Owls.
Batman vs. Robin is a competent DC animated entry that adapts the Court of Owls storyline with reasonable fidelity and energy. The father-son dynamic between Bruce and Damian gives the plot emotional grounding, and the Court of Owls makes for a genuinely menacing antagonist faction rarely seen in animation. However, the ending feels rushed and undercooked, failing to fully pay off the tension built earlier. Cinematography is solid for a DC animated feature but unremarkable. Acting is serviceable with a capable voice cast. Novelty gets a modest bump for bringing the Court of Owls to animation, though the overall execution follows a fairly familiar DC animated formula.
