A sorority moves in next door to the home of Mac and Kelly Radner who have a young child. The Radner's enlist their former nemeses from the fraternity to help battle the raucous sisters.
Neighbors 2 is a largely formulaic sequel that rehashes the original's core conflict with a sorority substituted for the fraternity. The plot offers little new ground, recycling the neighbor battle structure beat for beat. Acting from Rogen, Byrne, and Efron remains serviceable and occasionally charming, keeping the film afloat. Cinematography is functional at best, standard comedy fare with no visual ambition. Novelty is low — the gender-swap angle had some promise but the execution leans heavily on retreading familiar gags rather than finding a distinctive voice. The ending resolves predictably without earning its sentimental beats.
