Thirty-year-old Camilla, realizes that she doesn't have the life she deserves and decides that the only destiny worthy of her is that of a royal princess.
A French comedy built around class pretension and social climbing with hidden-camera elements gives it a modestly distinctive texture, but the execution feels thin. The premise of a delusional thirty-something convinced she deserves royal status has comic potential that goes underexploited; the plot is episodic and slight. Acting is serviceable but unremarkable, and the cinematography is functional at best. The ending resolves without much impact. The hidden-camera and woman-director social-satire angle adds a small degree of novelty to an otherwise forgettable mid-tier comedy.
