It's Donald Trump's turn to step in to the celebrity hot seat for the latest installment of The Comedy Central Roast.
A standard entry in Comedy Central's Roast franchise, this installment follows the well-worn format of the series with little structural deviation. The roasters (including Jeff Ross, Lisa Lampanelli, and Anthony Jeselnik) deliver some sharp burns and the material targeting Trump's ego, hair, and business failures lands consistently. Acting is a non-factor in the traditional sense but comedic performance quality is above average for the format. Cinematography is functional TV production. Novelty is low — it's a by-the-numbers roast following the exact same template as every other CC Roast. The closing remarks and Trump's own rebuttal are forgettable, consistent with the format's typically weak endings.
