A man is out for justice after a group of corrupt police officers are unable to catch his wife's killer.
I Am Wrath is a formulaic revenge thriller that follows a well-worn path with little distinction. John Travolta's performance is passable but unremarkable, and the film offers nothing new to the revenge genre. The plot hits predictable beats — corrupt cops, a grieving husband seeking justice, a shadowy conspiracy — without subverting or elevating any of them. Cinematography is functional at best, with no memorable visual moments. The ending resolves things in a by-the-numbers fashion typical of straight-to-VOD action fare. Novelty is the clearest weakness, as the film is thoroughly derivative of better revenge films like Death Wish or Taken.
