The Quartile Take

A charming Belgian rom-com with an intriguing concept — two neighbors forced to coexist through a shared wall, one needing silence and one needing music — but it doesn't fully capitalize on its premise. The setup is inventive enough to earn an above-average Novelty, and the lead performances carry the romantic tension well. Cinematography is functional and intimate but unremarkable. The ending feels somewhat predictable and underwhelming for the emotional buildup the film creates, landing below average as a payoff.
