A koala named Buster recruits his best friend to help him drum up business for his theater by hosting a singing competition.
Sing is a crowd-pleasing animated jukebox musical with a formulaic underdog-competition plot that offers little narrative surprise. The voice cast performs well and brings energy to their respective characters, and the animation is polished and colorful if not visually distinctive. The concept of anthropomorphic animals in a singing competition is functional but derivative, blending Zootopia-style world-building with a standard talent-show arc. The ending delivers satisfying emotional payoffs consistent with the genre without subverting expectations.
