Garden gnomes Gnomeo & Juliet recruit renown detective Sherlock Gnomes to investigate the mysterious disappearance of other garden ornaments.
Sherlock Gnomes is a largely formulaic sequel that recycles the charm of its predecessor without adding much new. The mystery plot is thin and predictable, the Sherlock Holmes parody is surface-level, and the humor rarely lands beyond basic slapstick aimed at young children. Voice acting is competent but unremarkable given the talent involved. The animation is colorful and technically polished enough for a studio production but not visually distinctive. Novelty suffers as it leans heavily on an established formula with little fresh creative vision. The ending is telegraphed well in advance, offering no real surprises.
