The Quartile Take

A middling Italian family comedy about a man-child forced to grow up, 'Where Am I Going?' follows a well-worn premise with modest charm. The concept of an overgrown mama's boy confronting adulthood is thoroughly familiar territory, and the film doesn't reinvent the formula in any meaningful way. The acting carries enough warmth to keep it watchable, and the resolution lands with reasonable emotional satisfaction, but the cinematography is unremarkable and the plot treads expected beats throughout. A decent crowd-pleaser that doesn't distinguish itself beyond its genre conventions.
