Five (2016) is a fairly standard comedic take on the 'broke young man turns to selling drugs' narrative with little to distinguish it from similar genre entries. The plot follows a well-worn trajectory with few surprises, the acting appears competent but unremarkable for a mid-tier comedy, and the cinematography is functional without any distinctive visual flair. The premise, while relatable, doesn't bring fresh perspective to the drug-comedy genre. The ending resolves in a predictable fashion consistent with the tone. Overall a serviceable but thoroughly average entry across all categories.
