Two years have passed. After missing their separation, the Leroy seem perfectly successful in their divorce. But the appearance of two new lovers in the life of Vincent and Florence will set fire to the powders. The match between the former spouses resumes.
Divorce French Style is a middling French comedy sequel that follows the expected beats of its premise—estranged spouses rekindling rivalry when new partners appear. The plot is functional but formulaic, recycling domestic comedy tropes without much surprise. Acting is competent and carries the material reasonably well, as French comedies often benefit from charismatic performers. Cinematography is serviceable but unremarkable, typical of mainstream French comedy productions. Novelty is low given it is a sequel treading familiar ground with no distinctive voice or fresh approach. The ending resolves predictably, offering little surprise or emotional payoff.
