News anchorwoman Cindy Campbell has to investigate mysterious crop circles and killing video tapes, and help the President stop an alien invasion in the process.
Scary Movie 3 is a competent but formulaic spoof entry that parodies Signs, The Ring, and 8 Mile with the series' trademark broad humor. The plot is a loose thread connecting set pieces rather than a cohesive narrative. Acting is serviceable parody work with Leslie Nielsen adding some charm. Cinematography is functional at best for the genre. While the shift to a PG-13 Zucker-helmed style gave it a slightly different flavor than its predecessors, it remains a by-the-numbers spoof sequel with recycled joke structures. The ending resolves the alien invasion absurdly but without particular wit. Solidly mediocre across the board.
