Quartile rating: 6/10 · 1 rating
With Maltazard now seven feet tall and Arthur still two inches small, our hero must find a way to grow back to his normal size and stop the Evil M once and for all, with the help of Selenia and Betameche.
The third installment of Luc Besson's Arthur franchise wraps up the trilogy in a fairly formulaic fashion. The hybrid live-action/animation concept retains some visual charm but had already been established in prior entries, reducing its novelty. The plot is thin and relies on familiar fantasy-adventure tropes without much invention, and the resolution feels rushed and unsatisfying. Voice acting and live-action performances are serviceable but unremarkable. The cinematography and visual blending of the two worlds remains the most competent aspect, though it doesn't push beyond what the earlier films achieved.
