Amy, Kiki and Carla – three under-appreciated and over-burdened women – rebel against the challenges and expectations of the Super Bowl for mothers: Christmas. And if creating a more perfect holiday for their families wasn’t hard enough, they have to do all of that while hosting and entertaining their own mothers.
A Bad Moms Christmas is a straightforward holiday sequel that rehashes the original's formula with diminishing returns. The plot is predictable and formulaic, adding little beyond the seasonal backdrop and a second generation of mother-daughter conflict. The ensemble cast — including Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Kathryn Hahn, bolstered by Christine Baranski, Susan Sarandon, and Cheryl Hines — bring genuine comedic energy and elevate the material above its script. Visually it's a standard studio comedy with nothing distinctive. Novelty is low as it recycles the core premise without meaningful reinvention. The ending delivers the expected warm reconciliation with no surprises.
