A Pixar short about a lost-and-found box and the unseen monster within.
Lou is a charming Pixar short with a genuinely inventive central conceit — a creature assembled entirely from lost items who inhabits the lost-and-found box. Its novelty is its strongest suit, presenting a truly singular visual and thematic idea about bullying and empathy told without dialogue. The animation is competent Pixar but not especially landmark cinematographically. The plot is simple by necessity of the short format, and 'acting' in the traditional sense is minimal given the lack of voice cast. The ending is emotionally satisfying but follows a predictable redemption arc for the bully character.
