The Quartile Take

Siberia (2018) is a middling thriller that fails to generate much tension or narrative momentum. Keanu Reeves plays a diamond trader in a plot that meanders without satisfying payoff, blending crime and romance elements in a way that feels underdeveloped. The Siberian setting provides some visual interest, but the cinematography doesn't capitalize on the landscape as distinctively as it could. The romance subplot feels grafted on, and the ending is anticlimactic and unsatisfying. There's little that distinguishes the film from other moody, slow-burn crime thrillers, making it largely forgettable despite its intriguing premise.
