Supernatural private eye, Dylan Dog, seeks out the monsters of the Louisiana bayou in his signature red shirt, black jacket and blue jeans.
Dylan Dog: Dead of Night is a mostly forgettable adaptation of the popular Italian comic series, failing to capture the source material's atmosphere or depth. The plot is generic monster-detective fare with little tension or surprise, the acting is flat across the board, and the cinematography is competent but uninspired. While the premise of a supernatural private eye navigating a hidden monster society has some novelty potential, the execution is thoroughly by-the-numbers, wasting its interesting source material on a bland, low-energy genre mashup.
