After a horrifying PredAlien crash-lands near a small Colorado town, killing everyone it encounters and producing countless Alien offspring, a lone Predator arrives to "clean up" the infestation.
AVP: Requiem is widely regarded as one of the worst entries in both the Alien and Predator franchises. The plot is paper-thin and generic, recycling small-town invasion clichés with no interesting character development or thematic depth. Acting is serviceable at best, with a cast of largely forgettable characters given nothing meaningful to do. Cinematography is a genuine low point — the film is notoriously dark to the point of being nearly unwatchable, with action sequences that are murky and incoherent; this was widely criticized even on release. Novelty is modest — the PredAlien hybrid concept has some marginal interest as a crossover gimmick, but the execution is wholly derivative and formulaic. The ending offers no satisfying resolution, essentially just clearing the board with a military strike and setting up nothing of value.
