While Senator Kelly addresses a senate committee about the supposed mutant menace, we learn about the making of the movie, X-Men (2000)
A standard behind-the-scenes promotional documentary for X-Men (2000), framed around Senator Kelly's fictional senate hearing as a narrative device. The mockumentary framing adds a slight creative touch, but the content is largely conventional EPK-style making-of material. Acting from the cast in interview segments is competent but unremarkable. Cinematography is functional documentary fare. Novelty is limited — the senate hearing framing is a modest gimmick but the overall format is formulaic promotional content. The ending wraps up predictably with the usual send-off. A serviceable piece of marketing material that does little to distinguish itself beyond its fictional framing device.
