On the 100th anniversary of the original voyage, a modern luxury liner christened "Titanic 2," follows the path of its namesake. But when a tsunami hurls an ice berg into the new ship's path, the passengers and crew must fight to avoid a similar fate.
Titanic II is a low-budget mockbuster from The Asylum that recycles the premise of the original Titanic with little imagination or craft. The plot is riddled with logical inconsistencies and clichés, offering nothing beyond a shallow rehash of disaster tropes. Acting is universally poor, with wooden performances across the board. Cinematography is functional at best, relying heavily on stock footage and cheap CGI. While the tsunami-iceberg concept offers a marginal twist on the original premise, it's executed so lazily that it barely qualifies as novel. The ending is abrupt and unsatisfying, failing to deliver any meaningful emotional payoff.
