Simone, a clumsy financier, falls in love with Claudia, who’s living on her grandma’s retirement checks. When the old lady dies Claudia hides the body in a freezer, and sets up a fraud with the help of some friends to avoid bankruptcy.
A mildly charming Italian comedy with a quirky premise — hiding grandma in a freezer to keep collecting her pension — that has some comedic potential and decent enough performances to carry it through. The plot is reasonably engaging though it follows fairly predictable rom-com beats once the central gimmick is established. Acting is serviceable but unremarkable. Cinematography is straightforward TV-movie fare with little visual ambition. The ending wraps things up in a conventional, unsurprising manner. Novelty gets a slight bump for the darkly comic central conceit, though it doesn't push the idea as far as it could.
