Three childhood friends - Elise, Sonia and Cecile - leave for a summer in the South of France to help clear Cecile’s holiday house before it is put up for sale. There, they soon become the prime targets of three horny young men, for whom these single forty-year-old women are much more attractive than girls their age.
MILF is a breezy French summer comedy that leans heavily on a familiar premise—older women pursued by younger men—without doing much to subvert or deepen it. The plot is predictable and formulaic, hitting expected beats of attraction, complication, and resolution. The acting from the three leads brings some warmth and naturalism that elevates the material slightly above its script. Cinematography captures the sun-drenched South of France appealingly but without particular visual ambition. The film offers little novelty, recycling a well-worn setup without a distinctive voice or fresh angle. The ending resolves neatly but without much emotional resonance or surprise.
