The Manzoni High School in Milan is the worst in Italy. When the percentage of those promoted falls to 12%, it's time for the last resort: to entrust the classes to the worst of the available teachers.

The Quartile Take

A fairly formulaic Italian comedy about misfit teachers turning around a failing school — the premise is well-worn territory (Bad Teacher, School of Rock, etc.) with little distinctive execution. The plot follows predictable beats, the acting is serviceable but unremarkable, the cinematography is flat TV-movie style, and there is minimal originality in conception or voice. The ending wraps up conventionally. Nothing stands out as particularly poor or exceptional — a solidly mediocre genre entry.
