Paddington travels to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. With the Brown Family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and up to the mountain peaks of Peru.
Paddington in Peru delivers the warm-hearted charm the franchise is known for, but the third installment feels noticeably formulaic compared to its predecessors. The Peruvian setting provides visual variety and the cast remains likable, but the mystery plot is thin and predictable even by family-film standards. The cinematography captures the Amazonian and Andean landscapes competently without being especially inventive. Novelty is low — this is a by-the-numbers sequel that recycles the fish-out-of-water adventure structure without the freshness of the first two films. The ending wraps up tidily but lacks the emotional resonance of the earlier entries.
