A series of mysterious events changes the life of a blind pianist who now must report a crime that was actually never witnessed by him.
Andhadhun is a masterfully plotted thriller that keeps audiences perpetually off-balance with its twists. The premise of a faux-blind pianist accidentally embroiled in a murder is brilliantly conceived and executed with dark comedic flair rarely seen in mainstream Indian cinema. Ayushmann Khurrana delivers a career-best performance, matched by a terrifying Tabu. The cinematography is competent but not especially distinctive. The ending deliberately subverts expectations but leaves some viewers unsatisfied with its moral ambiguity — earned but divisive. Its novelty is exceptional: the film carves out a wholly unique tonal space blending Hitchcockian suspense with absurdist black comedy.
