Quartile rating: 7/10 · 1 rating
A mysterious new villain known only as Hush uses a gallery of villains to destroy Batman's crime-fighting career as well as Bruce Wayne's personal life, which has been further complicated by a relationship with Selina Kyle/Catwoman.
Batman: Hush adapts one of DC's most beloved comic storylines but the animated film makes a notable change to the ending that disappointed many fans of the source material, weakening the payoff. The plot is serviceable but compressed, losing some of the graphic novel's layered intrigue in translation. Voice acting is competent but unremarkable for a DC animated feature. Cinematography follows the house style of DC Universe Animated Original Movies without notable visual distinction. Novelty is low as it adapts a well-known comic arc in a familiar animation style, offering little that feels fresh or distinctive beyond the source material itself.
