The Sea Beast is a visually spectacular Netflix animated feature with sweeping ocean vistas, imaginative creature designs, and confident large-scale action sequences that push its cinematography to a genuine high point. The story is a solid but familiar adventure narrative — a chosen-hero arc with a twist on human-monster relations — that borrows liberally from classic seafaring tales and 'How to Train Your Dragon' without quite matching their depth. Voice performances are competent and warm but unremarkable. The film's premise of questioning inherited myths adds modest thematic interest without being particularly novel.
