Perseus tries to live a quieter life as a village fisherman while – dangerously weakened by humanity's lack of devotion – the gods are losing control of the long-imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos.
Wrath of the Titans is a serviceable but largely forgettable follow-up to Clash of the Titans. The plot is thin and formulaic — a quest-driven MacGuffin chase through Greek mythology with little dramatic weight or character development. Acting is perfunctory across the board, with Sam Worthington again bringing minimal charisma to Perseus and supporting players largely wasted. Cinematography offers some visually impressive set pieces and creature designs, particularly the Kronos finale, which lifts it slightly above average in that department. Novelty is low — it recycles the same beats as its predecessor and countless other sword-and-sandal epics without bringing a distinctive voice or fresh perspective. The ending resolves predictably with a CG-heavy climax that impresses technically but carries no emotional resonance. Overall a middling blockbuster that delivers spectacle without substance.
