When a group of naive teens working at a movie theater in a small Christian town discover a mysterious film hidden in its basement, they unleash an alluring succubus who gives them a sex education…written in blood.
Porno (2019) offers a modestly creative premise blending religious repression with supernatural horror-comedy, giving it a slightly above-average plot concept that leans into the succubus mythology with some fun energy. However, the execution is uneven, with performances ranging from serviceable to weak and a cinematography style that is functional but unremarkable for the genre. The ending fails to fully capitalize on the buildup, resolving in a fairly predictable fashion. Novelty gets a slight bump for its specific setting and tone—small-town Christian teens vs. a sex-demon feels distinct enough—but it doesn't transcend its B-movie roots enough to be truly singular.
