Luck (2022) is a visually competent Apple TV+ animated film with a charming premise built around luck mythology and a likable female protagonist, but it struggles to elevate its story beyond familiar animated adventure tropes. The worldbuilding is imaginative and the voice cast is solid, but the plot follows a predictable arc with few genuine surprises, and the ending resolves too neatly without much earned emotional weight. Cinematography is polished and colorful in the style of modern CG animation but doesn't distinguish itself beyond competent execution. The novelty of the luck-themed magical world gives it a moderate edge in distinctiveness, though it doesn't fully capitalize on its concept.
