Phineas and Ferb travel across the galaxy to rescue their older sister Candace, who has been abducted by aliens and taken to a utopia in a far-off planet, free of her pesky little brothers.
A solid animated feature that expands on the beloved TV show's formula while giving Candace a surprisingly heartfelt character arc. The plot cleverly subverts the usual dynamic by making Candace the focus and exploring her complicated feelings about her brothers, adding emotional depth beyond the typical episodic structure. The voice cast delivers familiar, comfortable performances consistent with the series. Cinematography is functional TV-animation quality without notable cinematic ambition. Novelty is moderate — it builds on the show's established universe with some fresh twists on the Candace-brothers relationship, but largely stays within familiar Phineas and Ferb territory.
