Judgment Night is a serviceable early-90s urban thriller that delivers solid tension through its one-night chase premise. The plot is straightforward and derivative — a group of suburbanites hunted through Chicago's mean streets — leaning heavily on familiar genre conventions without adding much new. Denis Leary makes for a memorably menacing villain and the ensemble cast (Emilio Estevez, Cuba Gooding Jr.) performs adequately, though characterization is thin.
