All the rules are broken as a sect of lawless marauders decides that the annual Purge does not stop at daybreak and instead should never end as they chase a group of immigrants who they want to punish because of their harsh historical past.
The Forever Purge attempts to inject timely immigration politics into the franchise but stumbles in execution. The plot is formulaic — a straightforward chase-and-survive structure with little narrative depth or character development beyond archetypes. Acting is serviceable but unremarkable, with no standout performances to elevate the thin material. Cinematography has some decent wide desert shots and neo-western visual framing that give the film mild aesthetic interest. Novelty is low — it recycles the franchise's diminishing returns with a predictable escalation gimmick that the series has leaned on before, and the social commentary feels surface-level. The ending is underwhelming, offering a rushed resolution that fails to capitalize on the nihilistic premise it set up.
