A thief and a priest end up magically transported in the year 0's Palestine, where they'll have to make sure that the Nativity will follow its course.
An Italian comedy (Ficarra e Picone) that plays a familiar fish-out-of-water time-travel premise against the Biblical Nativity setting. The concept has modest charm and the comedic duo deliver reliable performances, but the plot is largely predictable and the resolution feels rushed and unsatisfying. Cinematography is competent for the genre without being visually ambitious. Novelty gets a middling score as the premise blends well-trodden Italian comedy duo formula with a well-known religious story, resulting in something mildly distinctive but not truly singular.
